Every great race starts long before the green flag drops. This one starts high in the mountains of Huehuetenango, Guatemala.

I like to know what’s under the hood, and coffee is no different. This lot is sourced from roughly 400 family-owned farms, where most producers work just two acres of land, growing coffee alongside corn and beans for their families. Small teams. Limited equipment. Maximum commitment.

Once the coffee cherries are ready, it’s race day.

The farmers deliver their harvest to Unitrade Coffee’s centrally located wet mill in Huehuetenango. Think of it as the paddock—where hundreds of individual efforts come together, the setup gets dialed in, and everything is prepared for the next stage of the race.
